What it does
01 · iPhone surfaces
The recording keeps going while the phone is locked. A paused card says Open to Resume, and the app picks up the same recording.
02 · iPhone surfaces
Switch apps and the recording keeps its place at the top of the screen. Touch and hold the island for Pause and Stop.

The widget has a red Record button. While you record it shows the time with Pause and Stop, and its glow follows your voice.

Tap Speakers on a finished transcript and each turn gets its own label, with up to 8 voices told apart on your iPhone.

Turn on Remove filler words for clean text, in new and existing transcripts. Switch it off and the words come back.

How it works
Record in the app, from Control Center or from a Home Screen widget, or import audio from Voice Memos, Files and other apps. Pause, resume or stop from the Lock Screen and the Dynamic Island.
Pick the language of a recording so the app does not have to guess. If your recordings mix languages, turn on Auto and the app works the language out as it transcribes. You can also transcribe a single recording in another language without changing your default.
Tap Stop and you're back in your recordings while the words stream in. Tap a line to hear that moment, search all recordings and transcripts, and copy, share or save the text.
Auto, speaker labels and all 25 languages work on iPhone 12 Pro, 13 Pro, 14 and newer.
Why offline matters
Recording, transcription and speaker detection all happen on your iPhone. There is no account and no upload, the app has no analytics, and it works in airplane mode.

Yes. Recording, transcription and speaker labels all run on your iPhone, in airplane mode or anywhere with no signal.
No. Nothing you record or transcribe leaves your phone unless you share it yourself. If you turn on naming recordings by place, Apple Maps looks up the place name; only that name is kept on your iPhone.
Yes, since 1.1. Turn on Auto and the app works the language out as it transcribes, even when one recording mixes languages. You can keep picking the language yourself, so the app does not have to guess. Auto works on iPhone 12 Pro, 13 Pro, 14 and newer.
Yes. Tap Speakers on a finished transcript and each turn gets its own label, with up to 8 voices told apart on your iPhone. You can rename a speaker or move a passage to the right one. On iPhone 12 Pro, 13 Pro, 14 and newer.

The first transcription after you install the app takes about a minute longer while the speech model is prepared. After that, transcriptions start at once. There is nothing to download.

Yes. Settings includes an Erase All Recordings and Transcripts action. Bundled language models remain installed so the app stays ready.
